Chatsworth CIC***, Derbyshire

One of Alex's favourite events, it is held in the grounds of Chatsworth House, the home of the 12th Duke of Devonshire. Chatsworth International Horse Trials provides one of the country's most spectacular settings with the cross-country course providing two days' great viewing as it winds around the beautiful park on the banks of the river Derwent.The horse trials, which has the Duchess of Devonshire as President, is now firmly established as a diary must for all the top international riders.  It also offers a brilliant family outing with attractions including sheepdog and birds of prey displays and a huge variety of shopping.
